VENEZUELA: Non-oil growth leads economy

The economy grew by 9.6% in the first half of the year, led by the surge in non-oil activities. The pace of growth is slowing slightly: in the first quarter the growth rate had been 9.9%. In the second quarter, this fell to 9.2%.
